Attendance

Attendance Policy

We’re here to help when it comes to attendance, this is because every minute of every lesson counts.

Excellent attendance and punctuality are our goals for every student. We set an attendance target of 97% as the minimum expectation for all students.

Evidence shows that students who attend school regularly make better progress both academically and socially. Parents and carers play a critical role in promoting positive attitudes towards attendance to help achieve excellent attendance.

Together, it is important that we make sure every opportunity is taken, this means arriving on time every day and students are not missing school without authorisation. Every student’s attendance is monitored closely and we follow-up on every  unexplained absence by contacting home.

When a student's attendance becomes a cause for concern, we contact parents and carers to discuss how we can work together to support improvement.

If you or your child need additional support, please contact the Attendance Team in the first instance by emailing tba_attendanceteam@thrivetrust.uk or by calling Reception on 01482 217898 - we will do everything we can to help. Alternatively, you can access a range of resources by using the links below:

You can monitor your child’s attendance using the Arbor app. Please keep the office up to date with your contact details to ensure that you can always access the restricted My Students tab that shows your child’s attendance percentage, achievements and other personal details.
