Uniform

TBA Uniform changes in effect from June 1st 2026

Context

Over a period of several years, TBA has added many items to its uniform, meaning that we now have too many variations. This has reduced a single sense of belonging. Also, it has created confusion and means it can be difficult to identify our students.

Next steps

Ready for Monday, 1st June, we are introducing a simpler uniform with a clear offer from the school to buy some parts of the school uniform upon request. These changes will not apply to our current Year 11 students. We will purchase all requested items before Monday, 1st June.

Main Uniform

A) Footwear

Must be 100% plain black and must be a fully enclosed shoe for safety reasons, meaning that Crocs, for example, are not allowed. Footwear can be a trainer or a shoe to maximise choice. We always encourage footwear that will keep feet dry in all weathers.  Separate footwear must continue to be worn in PE lessons.

B) Lower half of the body

We are offering three choices as part of our commitment to retaining some choice:

Plain black tailored trousers which have a clear seam and belt hoops (not leggings, jeggings or trousers made from stretchy material).

Plain black tailored shorts which have a clear seam and belt hoops (no other type - so not sports shorts, for example).

The black TBA skirt with the TBA logo.  Click the link to see an image of the skirt. https://rawcliffes.co.uk/product/luton-skirt-with-school-logo/

C) Upper half of the body

Students must all wear a white polo shirt with or without the TBA logo on it.

Students may then decide to wear a black TBA jumper with the TBA logo on it. No other jumper or “top” is allowed. Click the link to see an image of the jumper.

All students must wear their TBA year group coloured lanyard with card holder and card.  We will provide new lanyards and cards on request.

School Uniform is available 'new to you' at The Boulevard Academy. Parents should contact the school reception for more details.
