Transition

Throughout the Transition period this page will be updated with key information and exciting updates about The Boulevard Academy.

Below you will find lots of videos including a tour of our school, frequently asked questions and introductions to our faculties coming soon.

This page will promote the Academy’s thorough Transition Programme that endeavours to remove barriers for students transitioning from Year 6 to Year 7.

Welcome to The Boulevard Academy!

Students should have now met members of our Transition Team of Miss Luke, Ms Michaels and Miss Shields who have been visiting primary schools to across the city.

On June 22nd we would like to  invite Students and Parents to a ‘Get To Know Me’ Dinner. This is your opportunity to meet our staff, ask any questions from curriculum to uniform and enjoy a buffet style meal.

Then finally we will invite students to our Transition Week on July 10th – July 14th where students will get the chance to experience Secondary School life, get tasters of new subjects and a feel for the Academy.

Welcome from Miss de Bokx

We are absolutely delighted that you are considering joining our welcoming and diverse community, where no child is left behind. Choosing the right secondary school for you and your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We hope that all the information on this page will help you feel confident that the Boulevard Academy is the right school for you both!

Making the transition from primary to secondary as exciting and stress-free as possible is our priority and our team will be with you every step of the way to support you and your child, whilst answering any questions you may have. We understand that the step to secondary can be a big, and sometimes intimidating one for both parents and students, and we have dedicated tutor, well-being, pastoral, SEN and EAL teams to support students with settling in to ensure that every child is able to succeed at our school.

We are incredibly proud of our high aspirations for each individual, students and staff, and we work hard to bring out the best in everyone by providing a curriculum that promotes personalised learning. We strongly believe in celebrating all successes and the importance of sharing this with our community of students, staff and parents. We hope that the materials on this page will show you how passionate we are about our school, and make you feel confident in your choice to join our team. We look forward to welcoming you through our doors soon!
